Cinemas Book Record Sales in 2009

Polish cinemas in 2009 recorded the best results in the last 20 years, selling 38 mln tickets (against 33.7 mln sold in 2008), the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes citing the data from cinema operators.

Poland’s 2009 cinema ticket sales hit also their all time high at EUR 153 mln, against EUR 136 mln in 2008, the daily points out.

The three leading cinema multiplexes operators, Cinema City, Multikino and CF Helios alike, enjoyed a 10-20% y/y increase in revenues in 2009, the firms estimate.
