EBU in Warsaw for public media talks

The deputy chairman of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is in Warsaw today for talks with public broadcasters.

While in Poland’s capital former director-general the Italian Television RAI, Claudio Cappon will meet with representatives of Poland’s Public Radio (Polskie Radio) and Television (TVP) to discuss the situation of public media in this country and in Europe.

Mr. Cappon will also participate in an international session held in Poland’s Parliament on Saturday.

Devoted to the future of public media it will feature such renowned speakers as Doris Pack, the head of the Media Committee at the European Parliament, media professor Nick Perry from the University of Auckland in New Zealand as well as media experts of both the European Union and the Council of Europe.
