Japan-based high-tech group Hitachi wants to extend its presence in Poland by investing in Polish industry sectors of energy, IT, railway, and construction machinery, the daily Puls Biznesu writes.

The group wants to enter tenders for supplying elements to coal power plants in the Polish towns of Kozienice, Turowo and Jaworzno in 2010, and does not exclude its participation in the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant; the daily cites Hitachi’s European development director Jorg Nowack.
