New PGS office in Wroclaw
Posted April 1st, 2009 in Outsourcing IT by Wojtek GurgulLast weekend we have moved into the new office. It’s been a hard work, but a lot of fun at the same time. The new office is next building to the previous one, and is also located in the Wroclaw Technology Park. This time we have designed the space from scratch. It is designed to be fun place for work, but most importantly place where we will be able to work efficiently.
The whole space (~500 sq.m.) is divided in a few sections where different teams are located. We have 2 conference rooms with video and audio conferencing equipment. We have used the best practices from Microsoft how such rooms should be designed. Now we may have video calls with customers using OCS and be able to see the customers on large LCDs and at the same time share the screen which is projected on the wall. This is very useful! We also plan to offer OCSs R2 to Polish customers as a Microsoft Gold Partner.
On the walls the winners of the photography competitions were able to put their pictures. All of them are about Wroclaw and are in B&W. The winning series was great, as it combined different PC-related equipment with Wroclaw architecture.
The other competition was about fun code. They were supposed to somehow describe the habits we have here at PGS. I’ll take some pictures and post them here later. The winning one was about what you are supposed to do with your NotThatFreshYoghurt ;-)
I must say we are very proud how great the office is. The best proof is that we have a queue of visitors from Technology Park to have a look. The team enjoys that too. It’s professional and friendly at the same time. We finally have space for the team to gather for their Scrum meeting without disturbing others. We also have place where we can work with our visitors from different countries. 2 weeks ago we have had 3 customers visits at the same time and haven’t had space to have meetings in the old office. Now it’s doable in the proper way.
We’ll move to the new office in our branch in Rzeszow in ~6 weeks, so we will have a lot of space to accommodate new projects.
