Poland Likely Squeezed by Debt Threshold in 2009 – Deputy Finance Minister

Poland likely ended 2009 with its public debt fractionally below the first safety threshold written into Polish public finance law, deputy Finance Minister Dominik Radziwiłł told PAP.

“We don’t yet have the GDP data for financial year 2009 or the data on public finance sector debt, but at this point we estimate that public debt came in at the level of 49.6 to 49.8% of GDP,” Radziwiłł told PAP.
