Polish Investors Buy 80% of Enea Power Shares Offered by Treasury

Polish investors purchased 80% of 70.9 mln shares of electricity firm Enea that were offered by the Treasury at PLN 16 apiece, the Treasury said in a statement.

Polish pension funds purchased 60% of the offer. The Treasury wants to offer one place at the supervisory board to a representative of pension funds, the statement reads.

The Treasury will now start the next phase of the privatization process of Enea, that is sale to a strategic investor.
