Polkomtel to Be Sold by Auction

Posted June 1st, 2011 in Business news by

Owners of mobile operator Polkomtel, refiner PKN Orlen, metals group KGHM, power group PGE, telco Vodafone and coal miner Weglokoks, decided to announce an auction in the last round of Polkomtel’s sale process, the daily Puls Biznesu writes.

The allegedly strongest bidder, media mogul Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, is dissatisfied with this development and has turned to Polkomtel’s shareholders to justify their decision, an unnamed individual cited by the daily said.

The actual price of the telecom will be established based on its enterprise value, which means that, counting out all of Polkomtel’s liabilities, the actual receipts from the deal will be likely around 3 billion zlotys lower than the initial bids, Puls Biznesu estimated.
