PPL to Invest PLN 1.3 bn in Okęcie Airport Infrastructure

The owner of Polish capital Warsaw’s airport of Okęcie, Państwowe Porty Lotnicze (PPL) will spend some 1.3 billion zlotys for infrastructure investments till 2013, Puls Biznesu daily writes citing PPL’s general director Michal Marzec.

This should raise the airport’s capacity to 52 operations per hour from the current 36, Marzec said.

As far as financing is concerned, PPL counts on 300 million zlotys of loans from the European Investment Bank, PLN 200 million zlotys of loans from other banks, some 140-150 million zlotys of EU funds. It is also mulling a bond issue, Marzec added.
