WSE Privatization Possible in H2 2010: Treasury Minister

The privatization of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) may take place in H2, most probably in Q4 of 2010, Treasury Minister Aleksander Grad told broadcaster TVN CNBC.

The privatization of the WSE will likely take place after big IPOs of PZU insurer and Tauron power.

“We think that it would be better to first launch all market projects, including offerings by PZU and Tauron, which will increase the attractiveness of the WSE itself,” the Treasury Minister said.

The Treasury holds 98.8% of WSE.
