Disposable income grew 8.5% in 2006

Nominal monthly disposable income for Polish households grew by 8.5% year on year in 2006 to PLN 835 per capita, stats office GUS said Tuesday.

Average monthly household spending, in turn, amounted to PLN 745 per head, up some 6.8% y/y in real terms.

The structure of household spending shows an increase of expenditure on energy, textiles and footwear, recreation and culture and a decrease of expenses on food and non-alcoholic beverages, GUS said.
