At PGS Software, we like to make work easier for ourselves and others and we like sharing knowledge.
That’s why we created the History of Android SDK, which we’re happily handing over to you today! This is a unique poster cheat sheet for Android developers – it includes a detailed description of the changes to Android SDK versions 14-27. The changes are grouped into 30 categories, which means that it takes merely seconds to find the information you’re looking for.
Example: the customer would like to have a pedometer mechanism in their application and you’re not sure, which SDK version contains it. Or perhaps, you’re curious when the Camera2 API first debuted or which two system elements are called “Daydream”. Our poster answers these questions in just a few seconds, whereas searching for the same information online would take much longer.
The poster is available for free on our GitHub. This is our way of repaying the community for all the libraries, components, and tools we use every day. You can hang the poster on your wall so that it will always be conveniently available.
The poster and its contents are under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license, in order to remove any barriers to its use. Anyone can legally download the PDFs and print them without incurring any extra costs. This is our original solution and it’s the first of its kind.
