Polish non-financial corporates posted a first half net financial result of PLN 48.28 bln, up 32% from the prior-year period, a report from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) showed Tuesday.
Some 75% of all firms showed net profits totalling PLN 48.3 bln, while some 69% had shown net profits in the year prior period.
Gross profit margins rose to 6.5% from 5.6% in the year prior period. Net profit margins rose to 5.3% from 4.5%.
Revenues of PLN 802.93 bln were up 16% to PLN 802.93 bln. Revenues grew by the at the strongest rate of 46% in construction, by 24% in real-estate and corporate services, Manufacturing revenues were up 17% while utilities suffered a 2.8% decline.
Gross profits of PLN 524.79 bln were up 36% year on year.
Gross profit on sales of PLN 46.67 bln were up 23% year on year as the cost of goods sold rose 15% year on year to PLN 750.47 bln.
Materials rose 0.5 pps as a part of total costs. Amortisation fell
Some 48.8% of firms laid claim to export sales, up from 47.4% in the year-prior period.
