UBS to open services centre in Krakow?

June 6, 2007 Ela Pawełek-Lubera

The Swiss investment bank UBS is considering locating a services centre in Krakow. The project is to cost an estimated PLN 21m (approx. €5.4m) and create around 250 jobs.
Poland is currently vying with the Czech Republic to attract the investment. UBS will make the final decision within the next month and will take into consideration such factors as whether the Polish authorities will offer financial support for the project (the investor is hoping to secure approx. PLN 2m in aid).
