PGS Software was able to increase Volotea’s business success by simultaneously developing two Xamarin mobile applications for iOS and Android, hosted on a customised dotREZ REST API.
Thanks to using innovative Xamarin cross-platform development:
- The mobile app production process was greatly simplified
- A single team developed both applications – saving time and money
- The developers were able to share 80% of code across platforms
- Maintenance became easier and more cost-effective
- The apps have the unmatched look and feel of native apps
Volotea was looking to diversify their team of developers in order to better innovate their existing platforms. They wanted to further expand onto the mobile market – and, to do so, they needed to create two brand new, user-friendly applications for iOS and Android.
We were able to quickly enter the mobile market with two great, brand-new iOS and Android applications. Choosing to use Xamarin as the core framework in the app development significantly decreased the time to market and helped save costs while the PGS team added value to the process with their great experience and knowledge of the Xamarin platform.
